CMS/Connect Community Edition License Upgrade

Please download the CMS/Connect Community Edition License Upgrade to ensure that your CMS/Connect driver does not expire.  

Currently, the last community edition download has an expiration of February 15, 2011.

This download adds a new non-expiring (infinite) community license key.

Installation Instructions:

For SERVER-BASED installation of CMS/Connect Community Edition:

1. Log onto your Central Management Console and navigate to the Servers menu
2. Stop all ConnectionServer services
3. Stop all WebIntelligenceProcessing Server services
4. Locate your existing CMS/Connect driver installation path on the server, typically at:

   $BOBJ_HOME$\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\infolytik\cmsconnect\xi3

5. Take the "cmsconnect3.jar" file from this archive and copy it to the above location.  OVERWRITE THE EXISTING FILE: this is OK.
6. Start your ConnectionServer services back up
7. Start your WebIntelligence ProcessingServer services back up
8. ** THESE STEPS MUST BE REPEATED FOR ALL SERVERS WHERE CMS/CONNECT COMMUNITY EDITION HAS BEEN INSTALLED

For LOCAL-BASED installations of CMS/Connect Community Edition:

1. Close all running Web Intelligenge Rich Client sessions
2. Close all running Universe Designer sessions
3. Locate your existing CMS/Connect driver installation path, typically at

   $BOBJ_HOME$\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\infolytik\cmsconnect\xi3

4. Take the "cmsconnect3.jar" file from this archive and copy it to the above location. OVERWRITE THE EXISTING FILE: this is OK.
