Software Requirements
MetaMiner Server and MetaMiner Administrator
The following software components must be (or can be, see notes) installed on the host where you are going to have MetaMiner Server and Administrator:

MetaMiner Server/Administrator as a pure Java application can run on any operating system, 32-bit or 64-bit, provided that the JDK/JRE requirements are satisfied. However, Infolytik only provides installers, tests, and officially supports MetaMiner running on the listed systems. 64-bit versions of operating systems are highly recommended. |

Notes on Software Virtualization
MetaMiner Server, MetaMiner Server, and MetaMiner Client can be run on a virtual machine created with VMware or another software virtualized infrastructure.

However, MetaMiner will not perform well in a tightly constrained, shared environment or in a virtual environment.
