Reference for the Advanced page of Preferences > Settings...: the one-time Power BI schema drop, API authorization and metrics storage.

Use with Infolytik Support

Most options on this page are for troubleshooting or maintenance. Change them only when you know the effect or Infolytik Support asks you to.

MetaMiner Database

Field What happens at the next start
Drop Power BI schema on next MM Server restart MMS deletes the whole Power BI schema (pbi) of the MetaMiner Database (MMDB), recreates it empty and collects every enabled tenant again from the start. The check box is cleared afterwards.

Use it only when Infolytik Support asks you to rebuild the Power BI metadata, for example after a damaged schema.

This cannot be undone

The drop deletes all collected Power BI, Fabric and Entra ID data, including activity history older than what Microsoft still returns (about 30 days) and capacity metrics older than 14 days. MMA does not ask for confirmation: checking the box and clicking OK schedules the drop. Back up the MMDB first; see Back Up and Restore MMDB.

The section also holds truncate and drop actions for SAP BusinessObjects and Tableau data. They do not affect Power BI.

Server API Auth

Field Default What it does Config key
Authorization for MMS API endpoints: API clients on new installations. An upgraded installation keeps its setting (Local only if it had none) API clients: callers send Authorization: Bearer <token> with the token of an API client. Local only: no credential, and only calls from the MetaMiner Server machine itself are accepted; a call from any other host gets 401. mms.api.auth (TOKEN, NONE)
Manage API Clients... - Shown with API clients only. Opens API Clients, where you create (New...), change (Edit...), rotate (Rotate Token...) and revoke (Revoke...) clients and open the Audit Log... -

Restart the MetaMiner Server after you change the mode.

To create an API client, click Manage API Clients... > New..., enter a Name:, choose Expires: and click Create. The token is shown once, in API Client Token: click Copy and store it in your secrets vault. Clients created in MMA have full access. MetaMiner keeps only the SHA-256 hash of each token, in server\config\api-clients.json while the Flow Scheduler is switched off. Until you create a client, every remote API call is refused.

The shared server API token of earlier releases (server\config\apitoken.json) is no longer used. At the first start after the upgrade its hash is imported once as the API client api, so the same token keeps working, and the file is renamed. Give each script its own client, then revoke api.

Do not publish the API through a local reverse proxy under Local only

A reverse proxy on the MetaMiner Server machine forwards remote calls as local ones. Choose API clients to call the API from other machines.

See Network Exposure.

InfluxDB

Field Default What it does Config key
InfluxDB Enabled On Runs the metrics storage used by the SAP BusinessObjects Pulse dashboards influx.enabled

Other options

The page also contains options for SAP BusinessObjects (Log Change Source Requests, Log CMSDB Queries, Webi Security), the file watcher (Use EXT Files Service, Folder watcher paths:) and connection troubleshooting options. Leave them at their defaults unless Infolytik Support asks otherwise.
