Executive

The Executive dashboard condenses the other dashboards into a scorecard for leadership: platform health, estimated monthly waste, governance risk, shadow BI, chargeback, key-person risk and a prioritised action list.

Open it with Select Analysis > Executive. Every score and dollar figure is computed by MetaMiner from the same definitions the other dashboards use. The date filter drives the activity and refresh lenses; datasource posture, governance inputs, grants and ownership are current state, and the licence component reads the daily population snapshot.

Dollar figures are estimates

Dollar amounts are a modelled estimate from configurable list-price constants, not billing data. See Cost settings.

Panels

Panel What it shows Click
Platform Health Score Weighted 0-100 composite (below) with its band and the four sub-scores -
Estimated Monthly Waste Dollars per month from three components (below), with the cost basis -
Archivable Reports Reports with zero views in the window, older than 90 days and not certified. Reports without a creation date are listed separately as unknown age. Labelled majority archivable when more than half of all reports qualify, else cleanup target. Archivable Reports, Unknown-Age Unviewed Reports
Governance Risk Weighted percentage of unlabeled content, unendorsed content and external or reshare-capable sharing, banded High (66 or more), Medium (33-66) or Low -
Shadow-BI Extraction Exports, downloads, Analyze in Excel and prints that take data out of governed surfaces, by operation (ExportReport, ExportArtifact, AnalyzeInExcel, DownloadReport, PrintReport), with the number of distinct extracting identities. MetaMiner's own admin collection is excluded. An operation opens Shadow-BI Extractors for it
Chargeback by Capacity A stated monthly budget split across capacities by their share of attributed activity: Capacity, SKU, Events, Share, Charge. Events without a capacity are shown but not charged. A capacity opens Capacity Consumption (its workspaces)
Key-Person Concentration (owners) Owners of the most scoped datasets and reports; warns from 200 assets An owner opens Assets Owned by
Ownership Detail Top owners by asset count: Owner, Assets, Datasets, Reports, flagged bus factor at the warning level An owner opens Assets Owned by
Priority Action Roadmap Findings generated by fixed rules from the other dashboards: Priority (P1-P4), Category, Finding, Impact, Effort, Timeframe. Filter with the P1-P4 buttons and the All categories list. "No priority actions - the scoped estate is clean." when nothing qualifies. -

Platform Health Score

Sub-score Weight Definition
Adoption 30 % Reports with at least one view, of all reports in scope
Freshness 25 % Completed refreshes, of attempted refreshes
Reliability 20 % 100 minus the average of the misconfigured-datasource ratio and the refresh failure ratio
Governance 25 % 70 % weight on labelled models plus 30 % on endorsed models

When a sub-score has no data (for example no refreshes in the window), the remaining weights are scaled up so they still add to 100.

Band Score
Excellent 85 or more
Good 70-85
Fair 50-70
Poor 30-50
Critical under 30

Estimated Monthly Waste

Component How it is estimated
Wasted refresh compute Refresh hours on datasets whose workspace had zero report views, x refresh CU factor x price per CU hour, scaled from the selected window to a 30-day month
Inactive paid seats Idle Pro and PPU seats from the licence snapshot. See Users and Licenses.
Stale model storage Archivable reports x assumed model size x storage price per GB-month

Governance Risk components

Component Weight
Unlabeled content 35 %
Unendorsed content 25 %
External sharing (guest and reshare-capable grants) 40 %

Cost settings

Property Default Effect
web.apps.pbiusage.cost.cu.hour 0.18 USD per capacity unit hour
web.apps.pbiusage.cost.refresh.cufactor 2.0 CU per refresh hour
web.apps.pbiusage.cost.storage.gbmonth 0.023 USD per GB-month of storage
web.apps.pbiusage.cost.stalemodel.gb 0.5 Assumed GB per archivable model
web.apps.pbiusage.cost.pro / .cost.ppu 10 / 20 USD per seat per month, shown in the cost basis. The seat waste figure itself uses the licence-waste job parameters; see Users and Licenses.
web.apps.pbiusage.chargeback.monthly.budget 50000 Monthly budget in USD split by Chargeback by Capacity
