Remap Universe Options

Field Default What it does Config key
Log Change Source Requests Off Traces Web Intelligence data source remap work in the log. Can produce a lot of log output. log.change.source.requests

File Watcher

Field Default What it does Config key
Use EXT Files Service Off Watches the listed folders and records file metadata in the EXT_FILES table, for workflows that need a file watcher use.extfilesservice
Folder watcher paths: Empty Folders to watch, separated by , ; or new lines extFilesPath
Validate - Checks the paths -

MetaMiner Database

Each check box schedules a one-time action that the MetaMiner Server (MMS) runs at its next start. The flag is then cleared.

Field What happens at the next start
Truncate BO audit data from MetaMiner DB on next MM Server restart Removes all BusinessObjects audit data from the MMDB; the next audit pull reloads history
Truncate Webi BI4 metadata from MetaMiner DB on next MM Server restart Removes Web Intelligence deep metadata; the next pulls rebuild it
Force Security metadata Update to MetaMiner DB on next MM Server restart Removes stored folder security metadata so it is collected again
Drop Tableau schema on next MM Server restart Drops the Tableau schema. Tableau only.
Drop Power BI schema on next MM Server restart Drops the Power BI schema. Power BI only.

These actions cannot be undone

Truncate and drop actions delete data permanently. Rebuilding Web Intelligence metadata on a large system can take a long time. MMA asks you to confirm and recommends checking with Infolytik Support first. Back up the MMDB beforehand; see Back Up and Restore MMDB.

Server API Auth

Field Default What it does Config key
Authorization for MMS API endpoints: API clients on new installations. An upgraded installation keeps its setting (Local only if it had none) API clients: callers send Authorization: Bearer <token> with the token of an API client. Local only: no credential, and only calls from the MetaMiner Server machine itself are accepted; a call from any other host gets 401. mms.api.auth (TOKEN, NONE)
Manage API Clients... - Shown with API clients only. Opens API Clients, where you create (New...), change (Edit...), rotate (Rotate Token...) and revoke (Revoke...) clients and open the Audit Log... -

Restart the MetaMiner Server after you change the mode.

To create an API client, click Manage API Clients... > New..., enter a Name:, choose Expires: and click Create. The token is shown once, in API Client Token: click Copy and store it in your secrets vault. Clients created in MMA have full access. MetaMiner keeps only the SHA-256 hash of each token, in server\config\api-clients.json while the Flow Scheduler is switched off. Until you create a client, every remote API call is refused.

The shared server API token of earlier releases (server\config\apitoken.json) is no longer used. At the first start after the upgrade its hash is imported once as the API client api, so the same token keeps working, and the file is renamed. Give each script its own client, then revoke api.

Do not publish the API through a local reverse proxy under Local only

A reverse proxy on the MetaMiner Server machine forwards remote calls as local ones. Choose API clients to call the API from other machines.

See Network Exposure.

InfluxDB

Field Default What it does Config key
InfluxDB Enabled On Runs the metrics storage used by Pulse dashboards and the Metrics options influx.enabled

Other

Field Default What it does Config key
Log CMSDB Queries Off Logs the queries run against the CMS system database. Can produce a lot of log output. log.cmsdb.queries
Webi Security Off Limits which Web Intelligence reports a user sees in MMC, based on the matching BusinessObjects user name per environment webi.security

The page also contains connection troubleshooting options that should be changed only on instruction from Infolytik Support.
