Where the client keeps its files¶
On Windows the client stores per-user files under %APPDATA%\MetaMiner\.
| Path | Content |
|---|---|
config\.metaMinerPreferences |
Preferences, last server host and port, reconnect on startup |
config\.metaMinerHistory |
Window layout, server history, last loaded environments, saved credentials (encrypted) |
auth\ |
Remembered BusinessObjects logon tokens, protected by Windows; never passwords |
QueryHistory\ |
Meta Query SQL history, per server and user |
logs\client.log |
Client log. Open it with File > Open MetaMiner Log. |
File > Forget Credentials... removes the saved MetaMiner user name and password. It does not remove remembered BusinessObjects logons; use File > Log off BusinessObjects for those.
TODO: confirm that Log off BusinessObjects also deletes the remembered logon token
Source to check: BusinessObjects User Logon page in the Security tab.
Client startup options set by your administrator, such as Meta Query result size limits, are listed in Client System Variables.
