Connection Types Filter Group¶
The Connection Types filter group in the Filter Pane consists of a checkbox list. Each of list items represents one data connection type used in one of the selected Tableau environments:
When you choose one or more connection types, it limits the BI data shown in the Content Area to objects accessed by MMTE via data connections of the selected type(s).
You see the type of any connection in the Properties dialog window:
For example, Tableau Server connection type indicates that object is hosted by Tableau Server and accessed by MMTE from there. PostgreSQL connection type shows that object is accessed via a database in a PostgreSQL RDBMS.
The list of connection types is cross-environmental (a plain list of all types used in all environments).
There is an additional item (All) in the list of connection types. Use it to toggle between all types being selected and all types being unselected.
If all types are selected, or none of them, then the Connection Types filter is not applied, and it does not limit the data displayed.
